We are currently seeking a Vice President Security Services in Harland Clarke's Marketing Services Division. This position will be based out of the Regional Corporate Headquarters located in Decatur, GA.
Position Summary
The Vice President of Security Services has accountability for the growth and profitability of the security products and services business line sold to consumers and small businesses through Harland Clarke clients and direct. Responsibilities include managing both internal resources and external partners to develop, implement, manage, and promote a strategic security solution set. Drives the marketing plan for all channels to include market assessment and segmentation, product brand positioning, analytics, trend analysis, and event and web marketing. Defines and implements product and service enhancements based on inputs from clients and consumers and in response to competitive offerings. Will advise clients one-on-one at trade events and through trade journals on best practices for product usage to ensure the full value is extracted from the security suite. Implements and manages programs aimed at expanding Harland Clarke’s existing relationships with clients and end consumers.
Key Duties / Responsibilities

Lead new product development and assume accountability for new product programs throughout the product life cycle
Develop marketing strategy and tactics for all products and services delivered across all channels, defining key marketing issues, obtain team support and direct the team in the implementation of actions necessary to meet or exceed plan.
Identify opportunities for new business, making use of effective business development methods, strategic/partner alliances; provide input on pricing strategies, competitive awareness and implications.
Define financial goals and strategic plans for products; work with other marketing and sales teams to ensure goals are met. Manage existing products to maximize profitability through financially rational investment decisions and process efficiency. Define and implement product and service enhancements based on input from client and segment leaders.
Conduct market research, post-test, competitive analysis, content strategy and development. Execute product-line brand development, product merchandising, selection and profitability. Track sales, product maintenance, trend analysis and analytics. Oversee creative design and ensure that all aspects of the marketing programs are executed precisely.
Responsible for consumer and client experience and for development of a company wide go to market plan, working with all departments and partners to execute.
Education & Knowledge Required
Bachelors or Master degree in marketing, general management or related field.
Expertise in security services products that can be marketed and sold to businesses and consumers; products that will protect against fraud, restore credit, and protect information, etc.
Knowledge of product strategy
Knowledge of product design, development and management
Knowledge of channel development and management
Knowledge of economic analysis and modeling
Knowledge of positioning and branding
Knowledge of marketing communication
Knowledge of budget development
Knowledge of publishing channels and processes
Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
Ten to Fifteen years of total experience in product / service marketing and management and consumer security services, 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Expertise and success using aggressive and innovative web-based product and brand marketing strategies to grow the business
Financial astuteness, profit and loss accountability
Expertise in business or commercial product marketing growth strategies and tactics; building partner and customer marketing programs; analysis, planning and forecasting; catalogs, collateral design and production; product management and merchandising.
Ability to build and nurture a high performance team and
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills with evidence of leadership and initiative
Ability to manage through complex and changing environment without losing focus

Supervisory Responsibility
Manage a team of 2 marketing managers. Manage multiple, strategic partner relationships.

The individual in this role must demonstrate success in communicating (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization. Interact on a daily basis with Executive Management, Marketing, Sales and Operations. Must be able to negotiate and present ideas to internal and external customers

Capable of making decisions at a highly strategic level. Decision making has direct impact to profitability and marketplace health and positioning. Utilize input and facts from multiple sources to drive decisions. Must be able to handle and reconcile often conflicting priorities and objectives.
