What you will have the chance to do

• Manage the domestic logistics department, with the majority of cost-savings opportunity over the next 2 years in the area of transportation.


• Manage the 3PL relationships for both Truckload (TL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) carriers.


• The company is very focused on on-going continuous improvement; you will take ownership to implement process improvements that support logistics.


• Manage and negotiate about $50M in logistics spend.


• Finalize C-TPAT certification.

What you must bring to the table

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience including transportation, warehousing and fulfillment.


• Experience with refrigerated containers / cold chain is a must – no exceptions.


• Strong experience negotiating with TL and LTL carriers.


• Bachelor’s degree preferred.


• Experience with Tier-1 software is preferred.  Ideal = experience with SAP or JD Edwards.


• Ability to travel 25% of the time.


• Desire to advance rapidly into higher levels of responsibility
