GENERAL SUMMARY
Serves as the top technical expert and company-wide resource to management, clients and staff in a primary technical area. Provides strategic leadership on infrastruture, internal and industry IT technical and business process capabilities, including leadership in the identification and recommendation of new IT opportunities. Acts as the technical lead to formulate, direct, research, report, and make business case recommendations to management on proof-of-concept IT activities and drive to operationalizing. Provides specific guidance to others on complex assignments.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the unique technical subject matter expert in a specific area of expertise (e.g., Infrastructure Technologies, Data Management, Applications Support, IT Engineering, etc.). Consults and leads in
accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards.
- Leads and directs problem definition and problem resolution activities in specific area of expertise as the
company's unique subject matter expert.
- Directs the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective IT solutions which support client business
processes and functional requirements.
- Proactively coordinates company-wide initiatives to provide deliverables required for projects.
- Participates in and leads IT forums, technology assessments, industry research, and other projects as
directed by executive management.
- Responsible for the creation and review of new and revised internal IT standards and procedures.
- Performs knowledge transfer to other staff and may review the technical work of other staff.
- Performs other duties as required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
- Previous (10+ years) experience in all phases of area of expertise.
- Demonstrated excellence in breadth of technical skills and technical knowledge required respective to
area of expertise.
- Strong skills required in leadership, critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, and
interpersonal interactions (e.g. partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).
- Understanding of health care business and care delivery processes preferred
