Yahoo!'s ability to scale and deliver a fast and reliable user experience is dependent upon our ability to operate a rock-solid content solution for our most frequently downloaded pages and applications. As part of Cloud Computing, you'll be working on core Y! components, and contributing to the performance of all Y! services world-wide.

This position is for a senior developer that's ready to take on new a challenge. You will be responsible for not only Yahoo!'s mission critical caching and proxy infrastructure services operating in several facilities world-wide, but also the company's scalable DNS solution that solves Yahoo!'s application based load-balancing and redundancy concerns. Knowledge about  DNS's capabilities, record format and propagation is a must.
 
Minimum Job Qualifications:

* Proven experience in building highly scalable applications in C/C++ on a UNIX platform

* DNS/Bind

* Good written and verbal skills

* Experience with HTTP, TCP/IP, and socket APIs in general

* Scripting in PERL  
 
Preferable Job Qualifications:

* 5-7 years experience in building highly scalable applications in C/C++ on a UNIX platform

* MS/BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

* Familiarity with web caching technologies

* Web server, proxy server, Apache modules development experience
