This position is for a senior developer that's ready to take on new a challenge. You will be responsible for not only Yahoo!'s mission critical caching and proxy infrastructure services operating in several facilities world-wide, but also the company's scalable DNS solution that solves Yahoo!'s application based load-balancing and redundancy concerns. Knowledge about DNS's capabilities, record format and propagation is a must. Minimum Job Qualifications:
* Proven experience in building highly scalable applications in C/C++ on a UNIX platform
* DNS/Bind
* Good written and verbal skills
* Experience with HTTP, TCP/IP, and socket APIs in general
* Scripting in PERL Preferable Job Qualifications:
* 5-7 years experience in building highly scalable applications in C/C++ on a UNIX platform
* MS/BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
* Familiarity with web caching technologies
* Web server, proxy server, Apache modules development experience
