Description
The temporary Property Compliance position assists the export/import compliance program and works to ensure consistent compliance with US regulatory laws and internal controls of transactions involving the movement of goods, technical data and services to or from a foreign entity. Responsibilities include: Supports continuous classification endeavors of product, technical data and service with export jurisdiction and classification determination process for systems' facilities. Assists with determining proper Harmonized Tarriff Schedules (HTSUS) for all products, services and technical data. Research updates for ITSUS changes and ensures relevant changes are completed. Contribute to preparation of Import and/or Export licenses and approvals. Maintain recrods for Import, Export and Government Propoerty activities, and ensure stop gaps are in place for exports. Reviews and approves documentation, presentations, and technical communications fo0r facilities, and assists with unclassified facilty visit authorizations. Assists with audit procedures and schedules to track compliance as required for import, export and government property management. Supports monthly import and export and government property management training with preparing training announcements, recordkeeping and assisting both the International Trade Specialist and Government Property Administrator. Prepares, submits and maintains applicable forms for disposition of government furnished materials and special tooling, including customer furnished materials and tooling for government contract programs. Other duties as assigned.Associates / Technical Degree required. At least one year experience in the International Trade environment supporting the regulatory compliance of goods, technical data and services. Excellent verbal and written skills. U.S. citizenship required. Understanding of import/export regulations and/or government property management affecting the aerospace industry.
