JOB REQUIREMENTS Responsibilities The position reports to the Director of Value Chain & Packaging Solutions.
Support all stakeholders (marketing, sales manufacturing, operations, NTC, logistics, engineering, consumers, and customers) to work in cross-functional business teams that focus on total value chain & package solutions. Collaborate between business representatives and the consumer in each channel (grocery, mass, value, club).
Objectives include the designing, drawing, and developing of packaging projects, templates, drawings and specifications for existing and new tissue products in a way that maximizes plant efficiency within defined capability, profitable solutions, that meet or exceed customer needs and expectations.
Developing and delivering packaging projects for all key defined business areas; creating packaging production solutions that are compliant with existing industry standards and manufacturing capabilities; participating in the development and utilization of packaging hardware and software technologies as it relates to GP; developing and maintaining a strong knowledge base of the product packaging requirements in the tissue business unit, customer brands and retail lines and the associated outsource process; maintaining knowledge of current shipping and packaging trends in the market; maintaining skills using current AutoCad, TOPS, and other related software; other duties as required.
Education BS degree in engineering, packaging degree preferred.
Working knowledge of final packaging requirements and ability to apply knowledge to solutions that meet the needs of the entire supply chain.
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge and ability to design solutions with multiple substrates including poly film, corrugate, and folding carton.
Skills: Demonstrated ability in packaging development; working knowledge of TOPS, AutoCad, Acrobat Office Suite required; working knowledge of engineering application in a network environment, knowledge of standard test methods to verify packaging.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams which deliver packaging and process improvements.
Flexible to manage within constantly changing business requirements.
