Division One Solutions Inc represents several prestigious firms in the Financial Services, Insurance, Utilities, Pharmaceuticals and Telecommunications industries. One of our direct clients is urgently looking for a FX/MM Business Analyst with an understanding of the FXMM business required and they are looking to fill this position(s) ASAP.

The position is based within the FX Business Analysis and Projects team in New York. As part of this team, the jobholder will be responsible for managing user requirements from inception to delivery across a range of activities from upgrades and fixes to implementation of new releases. The candidate will work within the defined methodology to specify user requirements and to participate in the design, testing and implementation of deliverables.

The primary aim of the role will be to assist in the Business Analysis effort for existing change the bank projects for various support functions for the FX and MM business as well as Emerging Markets and Debt Securities in New York. The role also encompasses a level of second line IT/business support performing product level/workflow investigations and follow-up analysis as required by the business and business support operations. It also includes project management responsibilities for the overall project order book.

The BA team works alongside the Front Office and Support technology teams supporting the businesses mentioned above. These teams work from various locations around the world including NY, London, HK and Toronto.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

* Produce detailed specifications to allow business requirements to be understood and delivered by the development team.
* Development and execution of test plans both with regard to new functionality and regression testing.
* Liaison with other members of the Global team with regard to participation in their projects, enhancement priorities and overall aid in understanding requirements.
* Provide support to the business throughout the UAT process.
* Provide user training, as necessary
* Building good working relationships with other IT departments and relevant business areas.
* Ensure smooth transition to live operations in conjunction with production support
* Provide assistance for production issues that impact the trading business. Items include issues with P&L, trade flow, and EOD/Intraday rates.
* Work in a professional manner with the wider GBM IT global team.
* This position is located in Jersey City, NJ with frequent trips to the HSBC NY midtown locations

Decision-Making Responsibility:
* The job holder will have the responsibility to make project prioritization decisions for project in the order book.
* He will participate in the monthly working group meetings to help the various business functions prioritize their projects and understand the overall project schedule.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
* Proven record in analytical, product support and project delivery.
* Excellent user liaison and relationship management ability.
* Strong understanding of testing methodology.
* Understanding of the FXMM business required, understanding of Emerging Markets and Debt Securities (primarily Futures and Bonds) a plus
* Analytical and problem solving skills in addition to a delivery focused attitude.
* Excellent communication skills both locally and globally (dev team based in HK/China).
* The ability to work under pressure and make clear informed decisions is essential
