RESPONSIBILITIES:

Execute community and environmental programs to enhance the reputation of Disney Cruise Line to external audiences in various ports of call. Develop strong relationships with key community, government and industry officials. Manage process for charitable contributions in accordance with Company policies. Assist in development and support of Disney VoluntEARS programs including recruitment, communication and execution. Partner with shipboard operations and the Conservation Initiatives department to promote Disney's commitment to environmental conservation and social responsibility. Assist with planning and execution of industry, government and community events. Write, edit and assist with management of content for internal and external publications including development of community and environmental sections of Public Affairs website.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)

* Bachelor’s degree in Communications or other related field or equivalent

* Minimum 2 years experience in community / industry relations or related field

* Proven experience building and managing business relationships

* Proven experience managing multiple projects

* Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

* Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

* Ability to be flexible with work schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends

* Ability to travel

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master's degree in Communications or Business or equivalent

* Prior experience working with non-profits or environmental groups

* Prior experience in government relations

* Knowledge of cruise business and industry

* Event management experience

* Prior experience working with websites or online media

* Graphic design skills

* Bilingual abilities
