BUSINESS MANAGER: FAIRFIELD MACY'S
Primary Responsibilities - Create and maintain an environment focused on achieving sales and profit goals
- Achieve results through the team using Bare Escentuals products, programs and techniques.
- Ensure superior level of customer service is given at all times
- Coach, train, motivate and lead by example using a high degree of professionalism
- Consistently develops strategies to improve individual and team performance.
- Develop positive relationship with team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns
- Manage all training programs for selling skills, client service, products and operations
- Conduct monthly coaching sessions to communicate objectives, set goals and follow up on progress according to Bare Escentuals business programs.
- Maintain a cohesive, cooperative work environment through team building and motivation
- Recruit, hire and develop top sales and management professionals, and maintaining an active candidate pool
- Facilitate and ensure the successful induction of new employees
- Use discretion in assessing performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve associate performance, and effectively recommending employment decisions to Retail Sales Manager.
- Manage and maintain personnel files and disseminates all information regarding benefits to staff
- Manage time, establish priorities and delegate effectively to meet goals and objectives
- Resolve client issues, requests in an efficient and quick manner
- Utilize and maintain client database for phone calls, product launches, events and appointments in conjunction with the Bare Escentuals client program
- Control all store expenses within budget guidelines
- Create and manage shift schedules and process payroll information accurately
- Complete all required Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual bookkeeping and ensure it's accuracy
- Prepare, coordinate and ensure a complete and accurate annual physical inventory as required by Bare Escentuals and the department store
- Maintain all inventory control policies and procedures and take responsibility for store's inventory
- Identify and communicate merchandise assortment opportunities and issues to team and Bare Escentuals management
- Follow and implement all corporate visual presentation standards and guidelines
- Maintain consistent, uncompromising high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and marketing.
- Adhere to and enforce all operational policies and procedures
- Ensure that Bare Escentuals employees adhere to all department store rules and regulations
- Managing/Coaching/Recruiting Staff - 30%
- Selling - 50%
- Administration - 20%
Job Qualifications - High school diploma required, college degree a plus
- 3 years retail experience; 1-2 years sales management experience in a service-oriented environment
- Counter management preferred, Cosmetic sales experience a plus
- Goal oriented with a successful sales record
- Ability to manage store operations independently
- Experience analyzing financial reports
- Strong leadership skills, with ability to coach and mentor others
- Successful in managing and supervising people
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Successful recruiting track record
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Professional attitude and ability to be flexible and handle change in a positive manner
- Able to work nights and weekends
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
