We are seeking a strong Business Analyst with meeting presence to join the Application and Platform Integration team. We partner with Kaiser Permanente Business & IT teams to understand their needs & strategic direction and deliver IT solutions and services. You will work in an exciting technical environment that is comprised of the following: Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Personal Health Record (PHR) system, Billing Systems, Member & Provider Ecosystems with integrated data & applications, real time information integration, with Continuous Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst, you will mainly

Help with business continuity planning including data flows and user experience in various use cases as per technical solution roadmap

Participate in the requirements gathering and analysis process, including the decomposition of Business requirements to Functional requirements.

Ensure continuity of the Requirements to Design to Development to Testing process via continued involvement in each phase of the project.

Document meeting minutes to capture interaction with business

Document business procedures and processes

Collaborate with a team of Subject Matter Experts, vendors, Technical Project Managers, etc to effectively deliver projects/initiatives, including capability to work in large cross-functional teams

Help engineer technical solutions in synchronization with business requirements, specifically use case analysis & documentation, business process definition & re-engineering and workflows in Healthcare industry

Contribute to enterprise-wide strategic project success

5-7 years of IT experience as a team member in large scale Disaster Recovery, Continuous Availability projects

Must be a customer service-oriented team player eager to assist colleagues and handle changing priorities and multiple tasks.

Hands-on expertise in

o Microsoft Office Toolkit Excel, Visio, PowerPoint

o Access database

o Web screen mock ups

o Industry standard templates for documenting use cases, user guides, business processes in clinical environment

o Communicating to technical & business teams

Should understand technology and its jargon - including business continuity enablement concepts, data flows, infrastructure terms, etc

Should understand clinical workflows and processes for hospitals and clinics

Strong written and verbal communications skills, documentation capabilities for various procedures when needed

Evaluates project reporting requests, communicates alternative solutions and recommends best solution to user

-Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

-Produce and maintain technical specification documents

Able to work well as part of a team as well as be self-motivated

Must be open to flexible work schedule to remain in-step with project and organizational needs

This position may require travel up to 20%
