The Marketing team at Yahoo! is seeking a strategic, results-oriented big thinker for its Global Brand Management group. This group is responsible for leading the strategic charge for brand messaging, corporate identity and Yahoo!s brand architecture. In effect, the Global Brand Management group touches on everything that can have impact on the brand. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting objectives by working with cross-functional teams to ensure the consistent delivery of Yahoo!s strategy at every touch point. The Marketing Manager will interface daily with Yahoo!s branding agency partners and internal business unit marketing teams, helping to facilitate all brand related initiatives. The Marketing Managers mission at Yahoo! will be to help create the most compelling consumer Internet brand in the world. This position resides in Sunnyvale, CA. Responsibilities: * Partner with internal Yahoo! teams and external branding agencies to manage and execute brand initiatives that deliver on the overall strategic direction of the company.
* Serve as a liaison with internal business unit and product teams globally to ensure the brand message and identity is being communicated consistently at all touchpoints.
* Ensure the effective and timely implementation of the new corporate identity, including the purple logo, across regions, products and partnerships.
* Lead efforts to ensure the new digital brand digital library includes resources that will benefit, and be utilized by, global marketing, sales and product teams.
* Work with Marketing Ops Finance to appropriate track, report, and reconcile agency fees, BCG fees and production expenses.
* Drive projects, and be the primary contact with BCG on all internal corporate identity projects.
* Ensure all branding initiatives are being deliverd on time and on budget.
* Support the brand team in the development of messaging across products, regions and target groups that delivers on the brand promise.
* Assist in the evaluation and management of business vendor relationships. Minimum requirements The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the need for strong and consistent branding across all touchpoints of an organization. He or she will be skilled at driving global projects through completion. Agency or similar client marketing experience is a must-have. A minimum of 5 years marketing experience, with particular focus on corporate identity and brand re-launch initiatives, is preferred. The candidate must be able to succeed working in fluid, matrix environments with small-to-medium sized teams. The candidate must also be adept at developing and delivering compelling presentations. Strong project management and interpersonal communication skill are required. Preferred Requirements: Account Supervisor at a branding or ad agency. |
